The Entrepreneurship, and Financial Inclusion Programme is structured to train women and youth start-up entrepreneurs. The 'Incubator for start-up enterprises' portion of the programme takes place over three months and consists of seminars, workshops and practical projects which take place in blocks and are structured to continuously build the knowledge repertoire of participants. The practical component of the programme is unique in its approach to learning by doing. It affords the aspiring entrepreneur to launch and run a start-up business within an incubatory environment.
This programme is further extended to provide successful candidates from the initial incubator training, as well as, young entrepreneurs who have already started a business to receive mentorship and business counselling through its ‘Business Coaching’ component. The Business Coaching component is all about round table discussions and presentations by industry experts in the following areas; sales and marketing, finance and accounting, human resource management, business strategy, soft skills and customer service, contracts and business negotiations, globalization and export, and personal branding. The Business Coaching exercise also runs for a three month period.
